BlueSpring Controls Automated Alert Messaging Service

These Terms govern your receipt of automated SMS alert messages from BlueSpring Controls, LLC. By confirming enrollment in the SMS alert service, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are in addition to and incorporated into our Privacy Policy.

Service Description

BlueSpring Controls operates an industrial IoT platform that remotely monitors and manages relay controller devices at customer sites. The SMS alert service delivers automated, event-triggered notifications to enrolled site contractors regarding the operational status of equipment at their assigned site(s).

This service is strictly operational in nature. BlueSpring Controls does not use the SMS alert service for marketing, promotional, or advertising purposes.

Enrollment & Consent

How Enrollment Works

Enrollment in the SMS alert service is initiated by a BlueSpring Controls administrator through the BlueSpring Controls dashboard. The administrator enters the contractor's mobile phone number and triggers the enrollment process.

Enrollment is not complete and no alerts will be sent until the recipient replies YES to the confirmation message. Replying STOP to the confirmation message will cancel the enrollment.

Example confirmation message: "BlueSpring Controls: You have been enrolled to receive equipment and site alerts for [Site Name]. Reply YES to confirm or STOP to cancel. Msg & data rates may apply. Privacy Policy: bluespringusa.com/privacy.html"

Eligibility

The SMS alert service is available to:

  • Site contractors engaged by BlueSpring Controls customers
  • United States mobile numbers only
  • Individuals who are 18 years of age or older

Consent to Receive Messages

By replying YES to the enrollment confirmation, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from BlueSpring Controls at the mobile number provided. You confirm that you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission to enroll the number. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase or service agreement.

Message Types & Frequency

Types of Messages

Enrolled subscribers may receive the following types of automated alerts:

  • Equipment & Relay Alerts — notifications when relay outputs at your assigned site change state manually or via schedule
  • Wind Override Alerts — notifications when wind speed exceeds configured thresholds and relay outputs are automatically adjusted
  • Darkness Override Alerts — notifications when solar radiation levels trigger automatic relay adjustments
  • System Connectivity Alerts — notifications when a device loses or restores internet connectivity

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on site activity and equipment conditions. Messages are sent only when a triggering event occurs. There is no fixed daily or weekly message schedule. During periods of high site activity or adverse weather conditions, you may receive multiple messages in a short period.

Sender Identification

All messages will be sent from a number registered to BlueSpring Controls and will identify "BlueSpring Controls" within the message body.

Opt-Out & Help

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of the SMS alert service at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any message from BlueSpring Controls
  • Contact your BlueSpring Controls administrator and request removal
  • Contact BlueSpring Controls directly at support@bluespringusa.com

After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. No further alerts will be sent to that number unless you re-enroll.

Re-Enrolling After Opt-Out

To re-enable alerts after opting out, reply START to any previous message, or contact your BlueSpring Controls administrator to initiate a new enrollment confirmation.

Rates & Charges

BlueSpring Controls does not charge a fee for the SMS alert service. However, message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan and rate schedule. BlueSpring Controls is not responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier in connection with your receipt of SMS messages. For questions about your carrier's messaging rates, contact your mobile carrier directly.

Limitations of Liability

The SMS alert service is provided as a supplemental notification tool. BlueSpring Controls does not warrant that alerts will be delivered in a timely manner or at all. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to mobile carrier availability, network conditions, and factors outside our control.

BlueSpring Controls shall not be liable for:

  • Delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages
  • Any loss, damage, or harm resulting from reliance on SMS alerts as the sole means of monitoring equipment status
  • Mobile carrier charges incurred in connection with this service
  • Interruption or discontinuation of the service

The SMS alert service is intended to supplement, not replace, direct monitoring and on-site management of equipment. Contractors should not rely solely on SMS alerts for safety-critical decisions.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLUESPRING CONTROLS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE SMS ALERT SERVICE.

Modifications & Termination

BlueSpring Controls reserves the right to modify or discontinue the SMS alert service, or to modify these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued receipt of messages after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

BlueSpring Controls may terminate or suspend your enrollment in the SMS alert service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal law.
